On the afternoon of December 15, 2018, Marcel Tyran Turner, 26, was found in the garage of a Market Street residence in Raceland, Louisiana, with a fatal gunshot wound. Deputies from the Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office pronounced him dead at the scene after a shooting call just before 3 p.m.

Two other men were present in the garage. Jeremiah Ballard was also shot, taken to Ochsner St. Anne Hospital, and later died of his injuries. A third person escaped without physical injury. Investigators say two assailants wearing black and camouflage face coverings entered the garage and opened fire.

Two brothers were later identified and arrested and charged with first-degree murder in connection with the double homicide. Is there anyone who knew Marcel, Jeremiah, or who was in that neighborhood that afternoon and has information to share?
