In late August 2018 in Raceland, Louisiana, a sequence of shootings ended with the death of 38-year-old Timon Nash, a Black/African American man. Shortly after midnight on August 24, Nash was shot in the forearm during a dispute. That wound was not fatal. The following morning, August 25, deputies found Nash on the 200 block of Williams Street; he had been shot multiple times and died at the scene.
Authorities identified 50-year-old Dontrell Bryant of Raceland as the suspect in the August 24 shooting; Bryant reportedly turned himself in on August 28 and was arrested for attempted second-degree murder related to that non-fatal shooting. The investigation into the fatal August 25 shooting has not produced any publicly named suspects or arrests, and the Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office has asked for the public’s help.
Who in Raceland might have seen Nash between the two shootings or has information about that early morning on August 25?
