Marcus D. Muckey Lok Oliver, 26, was killed in a drive-by shooting in Tallulah, Louisiana, on the evening of May 10, 2018. At about 10:30 p.m. he was standing at the corner of East Washington and Jerry Streets, speaking on the phone with his girlfriend, when a truck drove by and occupants opened fire. Oliver was struck, fell into a nearby ditch, and was taken to a local hospital by a witness, but died of his wounds. He was a father of two.

The shooting came amid a recent spike of violence in the area; another fatal shooting had occurred within 36 hours in the same neighborhood. The Madison Parish Sheriff’s Office, assisted by the Louisiana State Police, learned the truck had been seen circling the area before the attack. Despite witness accounts and the investigation, no arrests or suspects have been publicly identified and the case has gone cold.
