In the early morning of March 18, 2018, 36-year-old Jason Hutson of Buffalo, Kansas, was shot in a fatal altercation at a mobile home park in Dequincy, Louisiana. Deputies responded to reports of a shooting at about 4 a.m. at 1600 W. 4th Street and found Hutson unconscious and bleeding from the head; he was taken to a hospital with multiple gunshot wounds and later died of his injuries.

Investigators say Hutson had been in a physical dispute with 30-year-old Andrew J. Tiner of Lake Jackson, Texas. After the initial fight, Hutson returned to his residence and came out with at least one firearm, an AR-15. Tiner also retrieved a gun, and from outside his mobile home he shot Hutson. After Hutson fell, Tiner reportedly took the rifle from him and struck him in the head with the butt of the weapon. Tiner was arrested at the scene and booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center; he was charged with aggravated second-degree battery and no bond was set, with authorities saying the investigation remained active.

Did anyone in the Dequincy mobile home community see what happened that morning or know either man involved?
