Gary Francis Perkins, a 52-year-old Caucasian man from Duson, Louisiana, was killed on December 9, 2017. Authorities concluded his death was not natural and classified the case as a homicide after finding he had sustained multiple injuries that investigators described as the result of a targeted attack. Neighbors and acquaintances described Perkins as well liked and without obvious enemies, which made the violence especially shocking to the community.
Months of investigation produced forensic evidence and numerous interviews that investigators say led to an arrest of two individuals. Those suspects were charged with first-degree murder and conspiracy to commit murder, and the case then moved into the court system with multiple appearances as the prosecution presented its evidence and the defense challenged the allegations. Perkins’ family has attended court and expressed gratitude for community and law enforcement support.
Does anyone have information about Gary Perkins’ life in Duson or about events around December 9, 2017 that could help the investigation?
