Blake Coleman Jones, 24, was shot in the head on the afternoon of July 22, 2017, in the 500 block of Marie Avenue in Rayne, Louisiana. He was taken to Lafayette General Hospital on life support but died the next morning, July 23, 2017, at 8:24 a.m. The dispute that led to the shooting began after a plan to tow a derelict car to a scrapyard.
