Norvon Gauff, 18, was shot and killed in broad daylight on the afternoon of April 6, 2017, in the 300 block of Fig Street in Garyville, Louisiana. Deputies found Gauff in the street about 3 p.m.; emergency personnel took him to a local hospital, but he died of multiple gunshot wounds to the head and body.

Investigators focused on a single suspect, 21-year-old Kaylan Morris of Garyville. A judicial warrant led to Morris’s arrest the next morning at an apartment complex in Baton Rouge, and he was booked on a first-degree murder charge. Prosecutors said the shooting was retaliatory, linked to a statement Gauff had made about Morris’s alleged role in an armed robbery of the Garyville General Store the previous November.

Who in Garyville remembers Norvon or has information about events that afternoon?
