On February 15, 2017, 29-year-old Andrew Jasmine was found dead in his home on East Frisco Drive in Laplace, Louisiana. Deputies entered after a concerned caller reported being unable to reach him and discovered Jasmine had suffered multiple gunshot wounds and that the house had been ransacked, consistent with a violent home invasion.
Investigators say the motive appeared to be robbery and that detectives identified four men allegedly involved in planning and carrying out the crime: Ahkemon Bardell Jr., Branden Clegg, Malcolm Muse, and Domanique Barnes. Indictments were reported charging Bardell, Muse, and Barnes with second-degree murder and armed robbery, while Clegg was charged with conspiracy to commit second-degree murder and conspiracy to armed robbery.
