On August 7, 2016, 31-year-old Savannah B. Thornton was found dead of a gunshot wound in a camper trailer at Williams Paint and Body Shop on Louisiana 132 in Mangham, Louisiana, alongside 52-year-old Dale Wyatt Keen, who was likewise shot and killed. Keen worked and lived at the trailer, and the Richland Parish Sheriff’s Office opened a double homicide investigation.
Investigators pursued a line of inquiry linking the killings to drug activity after learning Keen had been the subject of a multi-agency narcotics probe involving the Richland Parish Sheriff’s Office, Metro Narcotics, and the DEA. Authorities considered multiple persons of interest but did not publicly name suspects as the investigation progressed.
Despite an intensive joint investigation, no arrests or charges have been reported and the case remains unsolved. If anyone knew Thornton, Keen, their movements, or has information about drug-related activity in the area at that time, please come forward.
