Cordaryle Robert, 27, of Slidell, was killed on June 25, 2016 after being lured to what he believed was a date. After driving around New Orleans, Lemar told Robert her aunt’s vehicle had broken down; at a staged breakdown on Peters Road Robert exited his vehicle to help and was shot in the face by Terrance Calloway. His body was left in a roadside drainage ditch and was discovered nearly a week after he was reported missing. Calloway took Robert’s 2003 Cadillac Escalade, stripped its tires and rims in a sugarcane field near Thibodaux, then set the vehicle on fire.
Lemar and Calloway were arrested in Houma and charged with second-degree murder and obstruction of justice. Lemar later pleaded guilty to manslaughter and received a 25-year sentence after cooperating; she testified she did not know her husband intended to kill Robert. A jury convicted Terrance Calloway of second-degree murder and obstruction of justice and he was sentenced to life plus 40 years.
Does anyone have information about Robert’s movements that day or remember seeing his 2003 Cadillac Escalade around Harvey or Thibodaux?
