On the evening of Friday, June 19, 2015, Michael Coleman, 36, was shot and killed after an argument in New Roads, Louisiana. Police said the shooting followed the dispute and that a suspect fled the scene; authorities were searching for that person and reported the suspect remained at large.

Law enforcement responded and conducted a preliminary investigation that tied the shooting to the earlier altercation.
