Philip Aaron Soignier was 20 when he was reported missing by his family on February 9, 2015, after they had not heard from him for several weeks. A West Monroe, Louisiana native who played drums and was studying accounting at Delta Community College, he was last known to have been abducted from a local Walmart.
Philip’s body was found on March 3, 2015, in a secluded wooded area between Ouachita and Caldwell Parishes. Investigators determined he had been taken to a residence on Red Cut Loop Road, held at gunpoint, fatally shot, and his body later dumped in the woods. Authorities say the motive was related to a dispute over a car title and narcotics.
Six people were arrested in the case: Justin W. Rhodes, Christina Nicole Brown, Robert B. Malanders, Sierra M. Collins, Jeffery D. Osborne, and Stacie Lynn Shaw. A grand jury returned indictments in April 2015; one defendant, Robert Malanders, later pleaded guilty to manslaughter and received 20 years hard labor in August 2017.
If anyone knew Philip, his movements that winter, or has information about the abduction, please share what can help the investigation.
