Taylor Beverly was 22 when he was found shot in the 600 block of West Seventh Street in Crowley, Louisiana on the evening of October 12, 2014. The killing became part of a wider investigation into a string of recent shootings in the area.

Investigators identified 18-year-old D’Avondre Marquest Williams as a primary suspect in Beverly’s murder; Williams was living in the Welsh area and originally from Beaufort, South Carolina. He was charged with one count of second-degree murder in connection with Beverly’s death. That same investigation linked Williams to a separate East 15th Street shooting, and he was charged with home invasion and two counts of attempted first-degree murder.

Two other men were arrested in the East 15th Street case: 22-year-old Aaronton Williams of Jennings and 34-year-old Damien Deshone Guidry of Welsh. Authorities alleged D’Avondre Williams and Guidry forced entry and fired multiple shots, and charged Aaronton Williams as principal to home invasion and principal to attempted first-degree murder.

Did anyone in Crowley or the surrounding area witness events on West Seventh Street or have information about Taylor Beverly’s death?
