On the night of June 11, 2014, deputies answered a call to the 200 block of Joe Parquet Circle in LaPlace, Louisiana, and found Milton Ton Clofer Jr. unresponsive with a fatal gunshot wound to the head. The 49-year-old African American man was pronounced dead at the scene; no one else was reported injured.

The St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office classified the case as a homicide and canvassed the area for information. The investigation has remained open but went cold with no significant public developments or arrests announced.

Anyone who knew Milton or has information about the shooting is asked to come forward.
