Donovan Bailey, 29, was shot and killed in Reserve, Louisiana, on the night of April 17, 2013. A friend drove him to River Parishes Hospital, but Bailey died of his injuries.

The investigation produced an arrest in January 2014 when 24-year-old Antoine P. Fourcha was booked on murder and two counts of attempted first-degree murder with bond set at $1 million. A witness later recanted, and Fourcha was released; the case is currently described as a cold case. Bailey was a father of two, the youngest of three sons, and was reportedly working on becoming a music producer and buying a home.
