Valeska Keely Ward, 46, was shot at her home on North Flint Street in Lincolnton, North Carolina, on December 7, 2022. The shooting happened about 11 p.m.; Ward was transported to a hospital and later died.

Authorities arrested a friend of Ward’s, Muhammed Ali Camp, shortly after the incident. Camp has been charged with second-degree murder and is being held in jail without bond. A friend, Amy Owens, says Camp had recently threatened both her and Ward and called police after the shooting. The Lincolnton Police Department is investigating and asking anyone with information to come forward.

Friends and family are remembering Ward as the community grieves. Does anyone have information about Ward, her routines, or the threats mentioned that could help the investigation?
