Quinnton Malik Enoch, 24, was killed on November 22, 2022, on Avon Avenue in Burlington, North Carolina, when police responded to reports of shots fired. Officers found Enoch and a 32-year-old man with gunshot wounds; Enoch died at the scene and the other victim was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Two suspects were arrested in the investigation. Treyquan Becton, 21, of Hillsborough, was charged with first-degree murder, assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury with intent to kill, and possession of a stolen firearm. Micah Jamar Downey, 18, of Mebane, was charged with first-degree murder, assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury with intent to kill, and discharging a firearm into an occupied vehicle. Both were held without bond.

Enoch is remembered by family as family-oriented and someone who enjoyed music, dancing, and playing basketball. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Burlington Police Department.
