On June 26, 2022, Justin Dewayne Goodman, 29, was found dead in the front yard of a home on Junction Road in Davie County, North Carolina, after a 911 caller reported someone was shooting at her. Deputies arriving at the scene also discovered the body of 23-year-old Savannah Lyn Anglin inside the house. Two young children were inside the home and were unharmed; they were placed in the custody of Davie County Social Services.
The Davie County Sheriff’s Office identified Anthony LaQuane Brooks, 31, as a suspect and sought him on two homicide warrants. Brooks, described as 5 feet 10 inches and about 260 pounds, was known to frequent the Cooleemee area and parts of Salisbury and Rowan County. Law enforcement located and arrested Brooks in Caldwell County without incident; he was held at the Davie County Detention Center without bond.
Goodman was remembered for his love of motorcycles, dogs, and family, and Anglin was engaged to him. Does anyone have information about the events on Junction Road that night or knew the victims or the children found in the home?
