Jarel Isaiah Robinson, a 20-year-old African American man, was shot and killed on June 22, 2022, on the 1300 block of McGougan Road in Lumber Bridge, North Carolina. Emergency responders arrived after a report placed at about 8:51 p.m.; Robinson and another victim, 19-year-old Anthony Davis, were pronounced dead at the scene from fatal gunshot wounds.

Hoke County detectives opened a homicide investigation immediately. A person of interest was identified early on, but investigators have reported the case has since gone cold. Family members remembered Robinson as a wonderful young man deeply loved by those who knew him.

Anyone with information that could help solve the double homicide is asked to contact the Hoke County Sheriff’s Office. Does anyone have tips, sightings, or other information about that night that could assist investigators?
