Porsha Marie Lloyd, 25, was found dead in a car in Shallotte, North Carolina, on March 25, 2022. Officers initially responded about 4:30 a.m. to a reported single-vehicle crash on Whiteville Road and found two uninjured passengers. Two hours later they returned after a passerby reported the car remained in the ditch; one woman was described as extremely intoxicated and the other, identified as Porsha Lloyd, was unresponsive with a single gunshot wound to the head.

Lloyd’s mother had reported her missing on March 24. A BOLO for Lloyd and her vehicle had been issued in the Mebane area, but officers at the crash scene were not aware she was missing. A firearm was recovered in the car. The Shallotte Police Department has not determined whether Lloyd’s death was suicide or homicide, no arrests have been announced, and the investigation remains ongoing. Lloyd was a mother of four, survived by two daughters and two sons, and had been registered to vote in Alamance County with a Burlington address.

Does anyone have information about Porsha’s movements in the hours before she was reported missing or the vehicle involved?
