Bernabe Bello Mujica, 44, was found with multiple traumatic injuries and pronounced dead on August 12, 2021, at the intersection of N.C. Highway 24 and Tarry Church Road in Biscoe, North Carolina. Born June 11, 1977, in Vera Cruz, Mexico, he worked as a food caterer and brick mason and is survived by his parents, Cirillo Bello Martinez and Estefania Mujica, and children Eduardo, Alejandro, Bryan, and Karen Alvarez.
Authorities classified the incident as a homicide. Investigators say the suspect, 20-year-old Alan Shamon Thomas of Asheboro, was known to the victim and that the killing was not random. Thomas was arrested and charged with murder along with related counts including simple assault, possession of a stolen motor vehicle, and two counts of fleeing to elude arrest.
Does anyone have information about Bernabe’s last movements or the relationship between him and the suspect?
