Kevin Lynn Bentley, 34, of Dunn, North Carolina, was shot and died on March 11, 2021. He owned and operated Bentley Heating and Air Conditioning and was the son of Kathy Lynn Fuller Bentley and the late Charles Manuel Bentley. He is survived by his sons Tyler Lynn Bentley and Aiden Jernigan, his mother and stepfather, grandmother, brother and nephew.

Officers who responded to a call on Brookwind Lane found Bentley had succumbed to his gunshot injuries. The investigation was described as ongoing, and no suspects or arrests had been announced. His funeral was held March 20, 2021, at Roselawn Cemetery in Benson, North Carolina.

Anyone with information about Kevin’s death or who saw activity on Brookwind Lane on or around March 11, 2021, is asked to come forward.
