Albert Charles Parisi Jr., 31, was found shot to death on a front porch north of Spring Lake off Ray Road just before 1 a.m. on Sunday, January 24, 2021. He was a United States Army veteran, born March 30, 1989, and lived in Spring Lake. Another man who lived on Connie Court was also injured in the same shooting.

Authorities identified the shooter as 38-year-old James Lee Jones Jr., also known as Goldie or Jimmy. Jones reportedly had active warrants for murder, assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury, possession of a firearm by a felon, and six counts of assault with a deadly weapon with a minor present. The case was actively being investigated and law enforcement asked anyone with information about Jones’s whereabouts to contact the Harnett County Sheriff’s Office.

Parisi was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Sam Parisi and Katherine Parisi. He is survived by his parents Albert Parisi Sr. and Pauline Antoniette Parisi of Sanford, his son Albert Charles Parisi III of Spartanburg, SC, and his brothers Paul Alan Parisi, Blake Alexander Parisi, and Sam Albert Parisi.
