Peggy Huff Day, 79, of Yadkinville, North Carolina, was shot and killed at her home on North Oak Ridge Church Road on January 17, 2021. Deputies responding to a 911 hang-up found her inside the residence with gunshot wounds. Her husband, Charles Tom Day, was found seriously injured at the scene and later died on January 30, 2021.

Authorities say 64-year-old George Coleman carried out the shootings, then forced his wife, Mary Regina Day, into their vehicle and drove to the parking lot of North Oak Ridge Baptist Church, where he shot Mary Regina Day and then shot himself. Motive for the attacks was under investigation.

Peggy is survived by her husband (deceased), sons Allen and David Day, and grandchildren. Does anyone have information about the days leading up to January 17, 2021, that could help clarify what happened?
