Gregory Frank Harmon Jr, 37, of Ramseur, North Carolina, was shot dead at his Jordan Road home in the early morning of December 29, 2019. The shooting happened about 2:50 a.m. after Harmon discovered three juveniles who had sneaked into his house and were in his teenage daughter’s bedroom. Two of the teens ran away, and a 15-year-old boy who remained argued with Harmon and then shot him, killing him.
The 15-year-old was arrested and charged with second-degree murder; the other two juveniles were not charged. Police reported no known relationship between Harmon and the suspect. Harmon, a native of Florida who had lived in Ramseur for years, was survived by his fiancée Maria Lamb, his son Greyson Skyler Harmon, and his stepchildren Layla, Shyanna, and Brantley; he was preceded in death by his son Gregory Frank Harmon III and his father Gregory Frank Harmon Sr.
Does anyone have information about the night of December 29, 2019, or knew Harmon and can help clarify what happened?
