Thomas Talucci, 73, of Kings Mountain, North Carolina, was found dead in his High Ridge Court home on September 23, 2019, after deputies responding to a welfare check discovered the residence ransacked and his body inside. The check began when items belonging to Talucci were found in a car that had transported a wounded man, Jerry Childers, to the hospital.
Investigators say Talucci had been helping Kristen Price, a woman he befriended and hired for chores. Price, along with Robert Moore Dover and Childers, allegedly conspired to rob Talucci. During the robbery a violent altercation occurred and Talucci was shot and killed; Price and Dover transported the injured Childers to the hospital. All three were charged with first-degree murder; Dover and Price were arrested and held without bond, and Childers was indicted on first-degree murder charges after his hospitalization.
Talucci’s friends and colleagues remembered him as someone willing to help others. Does anyone have information about Talucci’s final days or his connection to the three charged in the case?
