On September 7, 2019, a Whiteville, North Carolina home was the scene of a deadly break-in that left 5-year-old Alexis Ciprian Trujillo and his parents, Leonel Ciprian Noyola, 29, and Nancy Trujillo Espinoza, 25, shot to death. The family’s grandmother, Rafaela Noyola Jaramillo, survived gunshot wounds. A silver 2011 Ford Fusion belonging to the family was taken during the incident.
Investigators later arrested two people in connection with the triple homicide. A 17-year-old juvenile was taken into custody on February 24, 2020, and charged with multiple counts related to the killings and the vehicle theft. On February 25, 2020, Prentis Deshawne McDuffie, known as Chopper, was arrested on similar charges. The investigation into the break-in and homicides remains active.
If anyone has information about the break-in, the stolen silver 2011 Ford Fusion, or the people involved, please come forward.
