Ramon Clark, 26, was shot to death in the early hours of January 11, 2019, in the parking lot of Rainbow Community School on Haywood Road in Asheville, North Carolina. Police found Clark in a dark-colored car that had sustained multiple gunshot impacts to the exterior; he had been fatally shot at least once in the head. Several bullet fragments were lodged in the passenger side of the vehicle and about ten bullet holes were later observed in a red fence at the back of the shallow parking lot.
Officers reported finding four cell phones, several hundred dollars, and a pistol in the car. One witness indicated Clark was outside the car when he was shot. Clark’s death certificate lists his occupation as an electrical assembly worker. No arrests have been announced and the Asheville Police Department has executed search warrants as the investigation continues.
If anyone was in or near that parking lot around 2 a.m. on January 11, 2019, or has information about the shooting, please share what is known.
