Isaac Jermaine Hawk, 31, was found shot to death outside his home on Adams Swamp Road in Corapeake, North Carolina, on December 22, 2018. Gates County deputies discovered his body early that Saturday morning after neighbors reported hearing gunshots and a car speeding away in a normally quiet community. Multiple witnesses said several suspects were in Hawk’s driveway when the shooting happened and that an altercation between Hawk and the suspects preceded the fatal shooting.
Three people — Terrell Parker, 31, Dominique Hathaway, 28, and Marcus Walton, 31 — were arrested and charged with open murder; Suffolk police detained them after witnesses placed them at the scene. The Gates County Sheriff’s Office and the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation interviewed witnesses and collected evidence used to support the charges.
Hawk, known as Jermaine, was a Gates County native who loved racing and his car ODB. He is survived by his parents Isaac and Rodgette Hawk, brother Christopher, sister MiKayla, and five children: Jermari, Jayden, Isaiah, Diamond, and Skylar. Did anyone in the Corapeake area hear or see anything on the night of December 22 that could help clarify what happened?
