Tyree Saquan Temoney, an 18-year-old African American male, died of a gunshot wound on December 1, 2018, in Knightdale, North Carolina. He was taken to WakeMed after being shot in the area of Bellstone Place and Mailwood Drive and did not survive. Tyree was remembered for his infectious laughter and ability to brighten others’ days; he is survived by his mother, Lawanda Bradley, and four siblings.
Authorities identified a person of interest the day of the shooting, and court records show Tyree and that person knew each other. On May 21, 2019, a 16-year-old from Wake County, Elijah Caldwell, was indicted on a first-degree murder charge in connection with Tyree’s death and was held in custody without bond; Caldwell was scheduled to appear in court on August 12, 2019.
Anyone who knew Tyree, his routines, or who was in the Bellstone Place and Mailwood Drive area on December 1, 2018, is asked to share information that could help the case.
