Caleb Kittrell, 23, and his brother Justin Kittrell, 21, were found shot to death outside their home on Parker’s Church Road in Gates County early morning on May 14, 2018. The brothers were discovered with apparent gunshot wounds at about 4 a.m.; the Gates County Sheriff’s Office and the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation opened a probe into the deaths.
Caleb was a lifelong resident of Gates County, employed at Brinkley Hardware and recently accepted into the Apprenticeship Program for Pipefitting at Norfolk Naval Shipyard. Both brothers were active in their community and members of Parker’s United Methodist Church. No arrests or suspects have been publicly identified and authorities have asked anyone with information to come forward.
The family held funeral services at Gates County High School and the brothers were buried in Parker’s United Methodist Church Cemetery; donations in their memory were directed to Warriors of Hope or the American Cancer Society. Does anyone in the Gates County area have information that could help investigators?
