Brittany Anne Ford, 28, and her infant son Deklon were last seen in Columbus, Ohio, around May 5, 2015. Brittany had recently driven from her home in Georgia to stay with family in Ohio after a domestic dispute and was reported to be exhibiting signs of a possible mental health crisis; her family sought a 72-hour evaluation at a mental health facility before she was released to stay with her brother.
On the morning of May 6, her brother found that Brittany and Deklon were gone and a note said they had gone out for food. They left with only Brittany’s purse and Deklon’s diaper bag. A missing persons report was filed with the Columbus Division of Police on May 7. There were brief contacts afterward: on May 14 a police officer in Indiana helped Brittany change a tire, and on May 16 she called her brother from Iowa asking for a substantial sum of money. The case took a dramatic turn on May 17 when Brittany’s car was found abandoned on a highway between Billings, Montana, and Sheridan, Wyoming; her medication and Deklon’s car seat were inside, but neither Brittany nor her son were with the vehicle.
Their whereabouts remain unknown. If anyone has information about where Brittany or Deklon might be or recalls seeing them or the vehicle in May 2015, please share what is known.
