On October 12, 2014, 21-year-old Stephon Jones was found fatally injured at a residence on 11539 Findlay Street on Detroit’s east side. Officers who responded to the scene classified his death as a homicide and detectives canvassed for witnesses and physical evidence, but the initial response produced few actionable leads.

No suspects have been officially named and no arrests were made, and the case later became cold with the identity and motive of the person or persons responsible still unknown.
