Tyheem Shabazz Person, a 27-year-old African American man, was shot and killed at 227 Harrell Street in Henderson, North Carolina, on March 14, 2018. Two other people were struck in the same incident: Dyrel Jermal Kittrell, 28, was also killed, and Devonte Jamal Jones, 21, was injured and taken to a local hospital. Tyheem lived at the residence where the shooting occurred; the other victims were also from Henderson.
The shooting was linked to a spate of violent incidents in Henderson at the time. After nearly a year of investigation, authorities charged 23-year-old Antarious Harrington with the murders of Tyheem Shabazz Person and Dyrel Jermal Kittrell and with the attempted murder of Devonte Jamal Jones; Harrington was in a state corrections facility for an unrelated crime when the charges were filed. The case remains under investigation and investigators are seeking more information from the public.
If anyone knew Tyheem or has information about what happened at 227 Harrell Street on March 14, 2018, please come forward.
