Timothy Lee Grady, 34, was shot and killed on May 27, 2017, in an apartment on the 500 block of North Ellis Street in Salisbury, North Carolina. Authorities say the suspect, Frankie Eugene Cox Jr., was known to Grady and lived at the same apartment where the shooting occurred.

Police obtained a murder warrant for Cox, described as 6 feet 2 inches and about 220 pounds. After a search that involved the Salisbury Police Special Response Team, Cox was located at an East Lafayette Street apartment, surrendered when officers surrounded the building, and was taken to the Rowan County Detention Center on a charge of murder.

Investigators stated the two men knew each other but did not release a motive or detailed circumstances of the shooting. If anyone has information about what led to Timothy Grady’s death, please come forward and share what is known.
