Bobby Lee Sessoms, 44, of Clarkton, North Carolina, was shot and killed on September 24, 2016. Deputies from the Columbus County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call about 7:30 p.m. and found Sessoms deceased from gunshot wounds inside the home of Steven Craig Long in Lake Waccamaw. An autopsy was scheduled at the State Medical Examiner’s Office in Raleigh to determine the exact cause of death.
According to the investigation, Sessoms had been in an argument with Rachel Davis over a car that her ex-husband had promised him. During the argument Sessoms allegedly slapped the kitchen table; Long left the room for a few minutes, returned armed with a pistol, and shot Sessoms. Steven Craig Long, the homeowner, was charged with murder and held at the Columbus County Detention Center in Whiteville as the case moved through the legal system.
Who knew Bobby or was in Lake Waccamaw that night and can share information about what happened?
