Joshua Omar Forbes, 25, was shot during an altercation at a residence on Bryan Boulevard in the Mar Mac community of Goldsboro, North Carolina, on July 23, 2016. He managed to return to the car he had arrived in and drove away, but died of his injuries en route to the hospital, passing away at a business on U.S. Highway 117 South.

Forbes, born June 3, 1991, lived at 101 Pine Court in Goldsboro and was the father of two children. Wayne County investigators identified 24-year-old Matthew Craig Moyers of Dudley as the shooter; Moyers was arrested on July 25, 2016, charged with Forbes’s murder and held without bond. Authorities say interviews with several people were conducted to reconstruct what happened during the confrontation.

Funeral services for Forbes were held at Bethel Church in Goldsboro and he was buried at Everette Cemetery. Does anyone have information about the events on Bryan Boulevard that day or knew Joshua?
