Stephanie Lynn Sanchez, 33, was one of three people killed in Alexis, North Carolina, on February 29, 2016. The deaths occurred inside the home of Crystal Leah Gambino after Gambino discovered her husband, Giovanni James Gambino, 40, Sanchez, and Geoffrey Glenn Gilliland, 39, together in the bedroom.

After the shooting, Sanchez’s body was dragged outside and placed on a burn pile in the backyard, and bedding was washed and bodies moved in an apparent attempt to clean up the scene. A confession to a family member led to authorities being notified and Gambino’s arrest on three counts of first-degree murder.
