Hubaner Roberto Morales-Morales, 22, was shot and killed on January 30, 2016, at the Ash Street Service Center, 3503 East Ash Street in Goldsboro, North Carolina. He was found with a gunshot wound and pronounced dead at the scene after a physical altercation with another man, Valentin Morales-Morales, 32. Bystanders initially broke up the fight, but Valentin returned later and shot Hubaner.

Valentin Morales-Morales left in his vehicle after the shooting and was located at a convenience store in Wayne County and arrested about 6:20 p.m. that same day. He was taken to the Wayne County Magistrates Office, served with an outstanding warrant for an open count of murder, held at Wayne County Jail without bond and scheduled to appear in court the following Monday. Authorities did not disclose whether the two men were related.

Anyone with information about Hubaner Roberto Morales-Morales, his movements that day, or the confrontation at the service center is asked to come forward.
