Reginald Swanson, 39, was killed on December 13, 2013, during a shooting on Detroit’s east side near the 12000 block of East Seven Mile Road. The violence began as a verbal argument at a local business; a man who had been arguing with the victims left and then returned armed, opening fire in what was reported as a double shooting. Swanson is identified as the older victim whose death matches the incident’s date and location.

Police initially described one victim as an unidentified male in his mid-20s, and later reporting aligns that the older victim was Swanson. Witnesses to the earlier dispute were present, but investigators encountered the familiar obstacles of limited cooperation and scarce resources. The shooter reportedly fled the scene and, as discussed in later forum posts, no immediate arrest or conviction was recorded.

Did anyone in the neighborhood or who frequented businesses on East Seven Mile Road in December 2013 see or hear anything that could help move this case forward?
