Thomas Lee England, 27, of Oxford, North Carolina, was found dead in his pickup on March 13, 2015. His truck had run into a tree near his home off N.C. Highway 96 north of Oxford, and the scene was first treated as a crash. A later inspection showed he had been shot before the collision, and the death was ruled a homicide.
England worked as an auto mechanic and kept a garage on his property. Five months after the incident, Granville County deputies arrested his 24-year-old wife, Atalia England, on a charge of first-degree murder; she was held without bond. Authorities did not provide a motive.
Did anyone in the community know of conflicts or events in Thomas and Atalia England’s lives that could shed light on what happened?
