Izaak Bridges was 21 when he was shot and killed during a party at a mobile home on Gumberry Court in Hope Mills, North Carolina, on January 11, 2015. The shooting happened shortly before 2 a.m. At least one or more people opened fire despite a sign at the venue that read No weapons, and 32-year-old Tanishia Graham was also killed. Five other attendees were wounded.
The Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office said the investigation was ongoing and that no arrests or charges had been announced as of the latest update. Friends and family held a candlelight vigil and arranged candles to spell out RIP Ikey. The shooting was described as part of a troubling pattern of deadly violence at parties in the Fayetteville area during the previous 15 months.
Anyone who was at the party or who has information about the shooting is asked to contact investigators.
