Robert Lee Horton, 28, was shot multiple times and died on December 28, 2014, in Clayton, North Carolina. He was found inside his mobile home in the 1000 block of South Lombard Street just after 2:30 a.m. and later died at WakeMed from his injuries.

Investigators say a 17-year-old known to Horton, Cortaz Quemel Lucas Jr., was charged with first-degree murder after allegedly entering the mobile home and firing multiple shots, striking Horton five or six times. Witnesses at the scene reportedly cooperated with police, and Lucas was arrested in Fayetteville and taken into custody. The motive remains unclear.

Anyone who knew Robert, his whereabouts that night, or who has information about the relationship between Horton and Lucas is asked to come forward.
