Teddy Ray Maynor, 34, of Maxton, North Carolina, was one of three men found shot to death on November 30, 2014, in woods behind a home on McLeod Drive. Maynor was shot twice in the back; the other two victims were Mitch Oxendine, 35, and John Freeman, 43, who were shot in the head. The scene was in an area known as Little Swamp, described as a place where parties and drug activity occur.
Authorities arrested 22-year-old Casey Collins Locklear of Pembroke and charged Locklear with three counts of first-degree murder; Locklear was being held in the Robeson County jail without bond. Relatives suggested the killings might have been retaliatory, but officials did not release a motive. The slayings came during a period of intense local attention, recorded as the second multiple-victim homicide in Robeson County within a week.
Did anyone in the community know the victims or have information about activity near Little Swamp on or before November 30, 2014?
