Ronnie Eugene Lewis, 41, of Marion, North Carolina, was shot and died on the night of August 2, 2014. Born April 16, 1973, in Fletcher, North Carolina, he was the son of Brenda Jean Praytor Cutshaw and the late Roger Horace Lewis, and is survived by his daughter Shannon Lynette Lewis, his brother Rodney Lewis, and several nieces and nephews. Neighbors remembered him for riding his lawn mower and helping others.

The shooting occurred outside the residence of an acquaintance, 23-year-old Roger Tully Frady, on Cherokee Way in Marion after an argument between the two men. Multiple 911 calls were made about 8:30 p.m.; officers found Lewis with gunshot wounds and he was pronounced dead at the local hospital. Frady was arrested at the scene, charged with murder, made his first court appearance the following Monday, and was held without bond.

If anyone knew Ronnie, his movements that evening, or the relationship between him and Frady, please share information that could help clarify what led to this fatal confrontation.
