Joshlyn Josh Demar Bridges, a 31-year-old man from Laurel, Mississippi, was shot and killed on October 21, 2021, inside an apartment complex on East Commerce Drive in Clyde, Ohio. He was pronounced dead at the scene after a fight at the Laurel Terrace complex escalated and gunfire broke out; several other people, including a woman and two men, were also shot and taken to hospitals.

Two men, Deondre Rashad Strange, 27, and Jermaine Howard, 24, were charged with murder in connection with Bridges’ death. Strange was found at the scene and taken to a hospital; Howard was taken into custody. The Clyde Police Department, the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation and the Sandusky County Prosecutor’s Office investigated and presented the matter to a Sandusky County grand jury.

Bridges worked at Crown Battery and co-owned Mr. G’s Snowball Paradise and Mr. G’s Services. He is remembered by family for his sense of humor and devotion to his children and community. Did anyone see or hear anything at Laurel Terrace that night that could help fill in what happened?
