Boston Isiah Ryder Wayn Bloomfield, an 18-year-old from Seaman, Ohio, died on August 25, 2020. Initial circumstances were unclear and the Bureau of Criminal Investigation and the Adams County Sheriff’s Office led the inquiry, assisted by the Highland County Task Force and the Highland County Prosecutor’s Office.

On August 24, 2024, authorities announced arrests in the case. Jordan Comer, 22, and Latyran Ty Haithcock, 25, both of Hillsboro, were taken into custody after arrest warrants were issued based on evidence tying them to the scene in the 200 block of Palmer Road in Seaman. The Adams County prosecuting attorney is reviewing the case for presentation to a grand jury; both men are being held in separate county jails and are presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
