Lillian F. Cox, 84, of Medina, Ohio, was fatally shot at her home in the 600 block of Lafayette Road on August 6, 2020. She was born April 25, 1936, to Watt and Bertha Moore and had been married to Elmer Cox for 40 years before his death. Her obituary describes her as kind, positive, and beloved by family, especially her grandchildren; the family asked that donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital in her memory.

Police identified Lillian’s son-in-law, 52-year-old Robert Dick, as the suspect shortly after the shooting. He was charged with multiple counts including aggravated murder, murder, and kidnapping. The incident began around 4:30 p.m., and after an hours-long manhunt he was found in a wooded area and taken into custody without incident. The Medina County Prosecutor’s Office announced it would seek the death penalty.

Does anyone have memories of Lillian or information about that day that could help clarify what happened?
