Delquan Ware, 24, of Warren, Ohio, died from gunshot wounds sustained in a drive-by shooting on August 2, 2020. He was driving a silver Chevrolet Malibu and was involved in a two-car crash after the shooting. Ware had been released from the Trumbull County Jail just days earlier after a grand jury declined to indict his pending case.
Investigators identified Cameron Tillis as the triggerman in the shooting and Stefon Alexander as another person implicated in the incident. The community responded to Ware’s death with calls for increased police presence and surveillance in the area. Ware’s family and friends remember him for his love of sports and cooking.
