Tonya Marie Delafeld, 42, was shot outside her home on the 1700 block of Plains Boulevard in Powell on July 21, 2020. She was found in her front yard with a gunshot wound and pronounced dead at the scene. Tonya, born June 17, 1978, in Coshocton, Ohio, owned and operated ATC Hair Studio in Powell and is survived by two children, Trenton and Tori, her parents, siblings and a granddaughter.

A family friend, 59-year-old Kevin D. Arnold, was arrested and charged with her murder; police said Arnold had been aggressively fixated on Tonya prior to her death. Arnold later died on January 9, 2022, while on house arrest and the murder charges were dismissed, leaving the case unresolved and the family seeking answers.
